What we are working on now?

Curious about what we've been working on and what we are doing next? Staying in one place for a month gives Jeff and I time to work and catch up on writing for our travel blog so we've also posted about our visit to England and Washington state:

and we are working on writing about all the places we've lived over the last year and a half, including about our time here in Guanajuato.

Where are we headed next?

Did you hear we are going on our first-ever cruise? I know, I know cruising is so expensive - but we discovered that when you factor in meals and accommodation, a cruise can be a cost-effective form of transportation for slow travelers like us—plus it’s way more comfortable than on a plane—and don’t even get me started on the airport anxiety. So we'll be writing about our experiences of being first time cruisers—reply back and let us know what questions you have about cruising!

Did you see 🙄 - we're rebranding our newsletter to American Expat Newsletter - what do you think? Don’t keep us a secret: Share with friends.

And, as always, send us feedback at hello@themobileretiree.com.

💡Quick Travel Tip of the Month

Booking your next holiday?

Consider traveling "long-term", if possible.

If you can stay in a destination for 29 days or longer, you can find some insanely good accommodation deals.

A few examples:

We know not everyone can travel for an entire month, but if you’re working remotely or have some time off, give it a shot!

Long-term travel gives you the chance to really unwind and soak in the local culture at a slower pace.

Plus, the slower you travel, the deeper you connect with the destination, and isn’t that what the best trips are all about?
